CH-148 Cyclone

The Sikorsky manufactured CH-148 Cyclone entered service with the RCAF in 2018, replacing the CH-124 Sea King. Designed as a ship based helicopter, and operating off Royal Canadian Navy frigates, the Cyclone is a world class Anti-Submarine warfare, surface and sub-surface surveillance, search and rescue, and utility helicopter. As a state-of-the-art helicopter, the cyclone is equipped with protection against lighting strikes and high intensity radio pulses.
