Alpha Jet

The Alpha Jets are light trainer aircraft designed in the early 1970s. This two-seater has been very popular in various countries as a training aircraft. Somewhat uniquely, the cabin is raised to improve the visibility of the instructor. It is also sold to certain civil companies, including Top Aces in Canada. In fact, since 2005, Alpha Jets have been used as an enemy for the CF-18 Hornets during their training. That's why we find them on the tarmac at CFB Bagotville. The Alpha Jets are also used for electronic warfare training of which 414 Squadron is a part.
